Heat treatment is one of the most important parameters for welding repair. A heat treatment must be individually adapted to the material, shape and size of the component and requires special attention in the case of hardened steels.

Inconspicuous heat conduction can lead to excessive hardening in the transition zone.

As a result, low-stress annealing is of particular importance after the welding and special attention must be given to the previous annealing temperature.
